Hey, it’s Arvin.
So I understood something in marketing the other day that breathed me a little. Had to share it.
During the longest, I thought that having a ton of followers was essential.
Like, that’s how you win, right?
No more followers = you crush it. No new subscribers? Obviously, you fail in life.
But then I took a step back and looked at the figures … And yes, it turns out that it is not that.
Because regardless of the number of followers you have if they don’t check your things.
Or buy. Or do anything really. This is the part that counts.
And I had some of the numbers that In fact Tell yourself if things work.
You know, the most important measures.
First of all: commitment.
And I don’t want to say like tastes.
Tastes are fine, but people are actually talk for you? Commenting? Sharing? Economy?
If this is not the case, it is a bit like shouting in the void.
I saw people (including me) get much more commitment just by being a real human.
Ask random questions. Sharing things that happened behind the scenes.
People like it.
They don’t want to have the impression of being just launched for all the time.
They want to have the impression that they are on something.
The more real you are, the more people want to spend time with you.
And then? Bam. You have a community.
And the community is what transforms engagement into one of your most important measures.
Because if no one is engaging, what is it for?
Next – Source of traffic.
What is essentially a way of saying fantasy – “Where do people even find you?”
And yes, this is one of the most important measures you can follow.
I assumed that all people came from me by exploding tweets on X (alias Twitter, but I always call it Twitter. Sorry, Elon.)
No. It turns out that a bunch of people presented themselves with places I didn’t even think. Like concept markets and other sites.
I looked back and I realized: Oh Dang, hundreds of people caught my free product there.
So obviously, I launched more things on these platforms.
And all linked to my store. Easy victory.
Know where your traffic = huge.
Once I saw this, I stopped wasting time on things that didn’t move the needle.
This is one of these most important measures that I would have liked to pay attention earlier.
Okay, conversion rate.
This one is tall. It is by far one of the most important measures in all your configuration.
It tells you if people are really TO DO Nothing. Click on a link. Signature. Purchase.
You can have all traffic in the world, but if no one buys … Well, it’s a problem.
So how do you repair it? Make people say “yes, I’m in it”.
Erase the pimples. Simple pages. Obvious offers.
And trust!
Show criticism. Share satisfied customer screenshots. Let people know that you are legitimate.
Also … your page should be quickly loaded.
If it takes an eternity, people bounce back. We are impatient creatures.
Even tiny changes here can lead more people to say yes.
And that’s the point, right?
The conversion rate may well be THE The most important metric because it tells you if your business really works.
Last: rebound rate.
This one shows if people land on your page and immediately leave.
And yes, this is one of these most important most important measures that people do not speak enough.
When people leave quickly, they don’t stay long enough to see how great you are.
I worked with a brand where we cleaned their site, clearly explained what it was, and POOF – their rebound rate fell.
Setting your rebound rate is like patcher holes in a fleeing bucket.
Otherwise, you just lose people before they even have a chance to spend time.
- Traffic sources = Where do people find you?
- Engagement = Do they interact with you?
- Conversion rate = Do they do something?
- Rebound rate = Do they leave too fast?
These are the most important measures that really matter.
Not follower accounts. Not the numbers of vanity.
So … on which metric you sleep? Press answer and tell me.
Oh, and BTW – I have implemented some tools and resources that facilitate marketing. If you want to check them, they are here
Catch you later!
