Google announcement It will freely put its depth research function available to all users on a limited basis, while introducing several gemini updates.

With this deployment, Gemini is now equipped with improved reasoning capacities, personalization features and extended application connectivity.

Free access with limitations

Google’s in -depth research tool, which processes information from several websites and documents, will now be accessible to non -paying users “sometimes a month”.

Gemini Advanced subscribers will continue to have greater access to functionality.

The company describes in -depth research as a research assistant on AI who searches and synthesizes web information.

Google reports that the functionality has been updated with its Flash Thinking 2.0 model, which displays its reasoning process during navigation.

Google said in its ad:

“Gemini users can try in -depth research several times a month at no cost, and Gemini’s advanced users have expanded access to in -depth research.”

The functionality takes place in more than 45 languages.

Model updates

The Flash Thinking 2.0 model has been updated to include faster file download capacities and processing speeds.

For paid subscribers, the system now treats up to 1 million tokens in a context window.

Dave Lemon, principal director of product management for the Gemini application, said in the announcement that the updated model is “formed to decompose the prompts into a series of stages to strengthen its reasoning capacities”.

The tests have shown that the system can still make mistakes in analysis and conclusions, recognized the company.

Additional features

Google has also announced a new experimental customization feature that connects with user Google applications and services. The functionality uses the data of research history to provide tailor -made responses to requests such as restaurant recommendations.

Additional application integrations now include the calendar, notes, tasks and photos, allowing users to make requests involving several applications. The integration of Google Photos is scheduled for the coming weeks.

Finally, announced that its GEMS functionality, which allows users to create personalized AI assistants for specific subjects, is now available for all free users.

These updates are available now on gemini.google.com.
